The National Capital Commission (NCC) is running a national youth photo contest.

Thirty winning environmental photos will be exhibited at Major’s Hill Park, in the heart of downtown Ottawa.

The Jury’s Choice Winner will win a three-day trip for four to Canada’s Capital Region for Canada Day 2013! The prize includes transportation and accommodation.

The People’s Choice Winner will receive a $100.00 gift card for Henry’s.

This nationwide contest is open to Canadian youth who are 14 to 24 years old. Photos must have an environmental theme and be submitted through Flickr between January 21 and March 31, 2013.

La Commission de la capitale nationale (CCN) lance un concours national de photographie pour jeunes. Aidez-nous à passer le mot!

Trente photos portant sur le thème de l’environnement seront exposées au parc Major’s Hill, au cœur du centre-ville d’Ottawa.

Le gagnant du Prix du choix du jury remportera un voyage de trois jours pour quatre personnes dans la capitale du Canada pour la fête du Canada 2013! Le prix comprend les frais de transport et l’hébergement.

I am looking to visit newfoundland in september - MAINLY for photography... i plan to stop at some of the other atlantic provinces assuming I have the time

I know I will have missed the seabirds, icebergs and whale watching... but what about the other scenes to take in like national park, sunrises/sunsets, old town shots, marinas, etc.?

Where does September rank in terms of best times to visit for photography?
