Homer's Eagle Lady dies at 85...

My life along with thousands of others was touched by this wonderful woman and we will all miss her dearly. Photographers paid so much money every year to go out to the Homer spit and photograph this wonderful life changing event (for both the Eagles and the people). She was inspiring! I was in Homer shortly after New Year's in 2008 and because she was a friend of a good friend of mine I got to go and see her feed the eagles, it was an expeirience that was amazing. I have hundreds of pictures from the event and I think that in celebration of her life that we should post if you have any...pictures from that event! It does not matter what year. I hope all of you are well! Rest in peace Jean Keene a.k.a. The Eagle Lady.

I live in the Fairbanks area and work downtown Fairbanks. I will keep an eye out for her. Also, I will print her photos if you email them to me and distribute the photos to my co-workers. We work for Fedex, and between us, we cover the entire area. My email addy is: Blkwolf1017@yahoo.com.

Hello, my boy friend's mother has been missing for several days now and a missing persons report has been filed. She is from fairbanks Alaska and its not like her not to answer her phone or call ANY ONE BACK. We suspect foul play...she has been said to be hanging out with a man who she should'nt be. We are SO worried about her and though this may be a shot in the dark PLEASE PLEASE take a few seconds to repost this and ask your friend to do the same. I have put all the pics that I have of her when she was here in November together. Please look at the pics. Here is some more info from her daughter.

Her Name is : DeAnn Clark Valdez
Height:''5'6 or ''5'7
Hair:Short Brown Hair
Eyes:Blue/does wear glasses
Age:49
Clotheing: Light Tan or Light Blue Pants,Sweater might be pink,Quilted outliner jacket it's grey,Wearing black winter boots.

If anyone spots her please call the ploice stations right away she might with a tall,thin guy that has brown short hair and so often wears a cap and very loud.

Please be aware he is crazy ,he might start a fight or something. Be careful.

She might be driving with him in her buick centry year of the 1999 and the color is grey.

Or he might be driving a blazer don't know what color.

She is sick right now and might need a breathing treatment.

I have noticed, that alot of your own favorates are different then of what others concider theirs...I think because we are always looking for certen detail or composition and maybe we felt we did not get it when photographing a shot. Others see it in a different light..

Anyway It is absolulty fantastic when anyone likes your picts!

I share the feeling to some degree as I was asked to have one of my NYC photos used in an article for a site that celabreated the 100th year of the NYC Taxi Cabs.
