More Adobes business model Patrick, but that does lead to the overly expensive pricing. I do not refer to ₡o ₹€₤ (I like this), like I do with Adobe as they have a reasonable pricing structure.

It was the main driving factor that I ditched Adobe products wholesale and moved to the other editors.

With all due respect you do appear to have an issue. You do not refer to Corel as ₡o ₹€₤, replacing letters where you can with currency symbols. You appear to be biased against Photoshop because it is expensive. Why not just say that?

I do understand the sentiment, however some will ascribe different value to the fact that Gimp is cheaper than I do, or perhaps Ben will.

Fortnightly Challenge: Travel Photography

I just came back from a good weekend in Melbourne and although I only had my P&S, I still managed a couple of reasonable shots.

So this fortnight, after being inspired by my recent trip, I thought Travel Photography would be a good challenge.

Lets see how many photos of Batemans Bay we get.

The Standard rules:

- Everyone is allowed to submit three photos: please post them to this thread as your entries, but feel free to post any more you may have to the group pool.

- The winning entry will be selected by the person who won the previous fortnight's challenge.

- The person whose photo is selected can then pick the topic for the next theme thread and become the thread's host.

- The host of the thread (ie winner of last theme thread) may not select their own entry as the winner

- If the host does not announce the winner after two days from competition close, the previous fortnight's winner will be contacted to judge the entries.

Challenge ends on 27 June.

Only slightly on topic I know, but I recently upgraded to Lightroom 5 and Photoshop 6. My resolution was to master more of what PS is capable of. It has been fun checking our the tutorial videos and trying the various techniques.

I once rode a mountain bike down Stromlo and went up and down every bump. These good guys 'simply' skip from crest to crest. What an effort. Top shot Macr1...you get the gong.
