Hi everyone! I'm Libby - I'm in the UK.
I'm so glad to have found this group - I'm on a mission to makeover my wardrobe, handmade style. I've sewn since I was a kid but not so much since i've had kids (four). Back in the groove and ready to sew!

Looking forward to seeing all your lovely things to inspire me some more.

I blog about all my things handmade at www.trulymyrtle.blogspot.com but selfish knitting and sewing is my favourite ;)

I'm Jenn and I live in Los Angeles, CA. I started making a lot of my own clothes when I was pregnant with my first son because I had a hard time finding fashionable maternity that didn't break the bank. Since then I've really had a lot of fun making my own stuff and stuff for my two boys.

I was planning on making a bunch of new stuff for spring and summer (yay 40 pounds gone!) and this will be a great external motivator to keep me going.

Hi, I'm Tracy and I live in Central IL. It is hard to find clothes for a 43 year old that are not outrageously expensive, old lady clothes or teenagers clothes. So, I've just started sewing again. Luckily, I have my mom as my advisor-she worked in a sewing factory for 25 years. YAY! I also lost 25 pounds since last summer and had to toss of too big clothes.

hello, i'm joni from le filigree in anchorage, alaska. i pretty much only sew dresses because it's tough to find a non-cheesy, affordable casual dress. i love classic shapes, and "making do" which translates to using fabric from thrifted clothes, or adapting patterns to my own needs. i'm experimenting with natural dyes, too.

Hi - I'm Kristy from fogandswell.com. I used to make a lot of my clothes but had really slowed down on that of late in favour of other projects (my online shop, etc). I'm joining this group because I am really hoping to get some new handmade clothes in my wardrobe this year (I started with a Wiksten tank dress last weekend) instead of all the cheap and generic stuff I see in stores. I don't have specific goals of what to make, although I'm currently finishing up an Alabama Chanin-inspired skirt of my own design. I'm looking forward to being inspired by what others are up to!

Hi everyone! I'm Lizz from agoodwardrobe.com.
This spring, I'm challenging myself to sew 8 garments by April 30th. I'm planning on sewing 4 blouses, 1 pair of pants, 1 skirt, and 1 dress. I'm waiting until the other pieces come together before deciding on the final garment.
I'm working from a palette of grey, cream, blush red, teal/turquoise, and yellow. Something fresh, bright, and sweet!
Looking forward to seeing everyone's projects!

I’m louise and i’m from germany too! i just recently discovered my love for garment sewing (well, why was i so incredibly scared of it to begin with?? it’s amazing!!). now that i have a little more time for sewing, i would love to begin to build my own handmade wardrobe. i need some truly comfortable and simple pieces (think bicycle trips and nature walks). just some skirts, some dresses and maybe a jacket! i’m super excited! and i can’t wait to see your creations!

Hi I'm Linda from Australia. Although it won't be Spring here in Australia, and we will soon be coming into Autumn, I thought I would join the group anyway. Actually our Autumn would be much like your Spring, as it doesn't get too cold here (I'm in Queensland). I have been attempting to make my own clothes on and off for years and I'm finally undertaking a dressmaking class to help me fine tune things, so I hope to add quite a few items to the group over the next little while! Can't wait!
