Instagram is a social media application that people use to post pictures for the world, or just themselves to see. The application has multiple picture filters that you can use to change how your picture looks. You can also use hashtags (#) like it Twitter for people to find your pictures. It was bought by Facebook a few months back, and can share to other social media sites such as Tumblr, Flickr, etc.

Only just seen this.
You need to have it on your phone, select the photo you want from your phone gallery (or dropbox/etc on your phone) and upload to instagram.
To use it for photoaday you just put #PhotoADayJune or whichever month it is your taking part in.
