yes thanks Svea, I have written to you and amended the tutorial to include all possibilities, including the block Cindy used. For copyright reasons I cannot post that pattern but can explain it if anyone wants to do that,. If any of you do, mail me! (although no internet now till monday, sorry...)

I'm in the second UK siblings bee. The way we do it is if it is your month, you determine the block and when you get all your blocks back, you finish the quilt. That way you get 12 different quilts.

If you wanted to make a sampler quilt in your month, you could request a different block from each bee member? (we have 12 members so we should be done in one year and have 12 quilts).

Did you see the comment I left, about the tutorial on sew mama sew? It's very similar to the nestled star in the book, the nestling is different is all. But tbh, all wonky stars are good :)

Rainbow scrappy please. That does not mean that all rainbow colours need to be in each star though. They can be, but they could also be a mix of different greens and blues in one, a mix of oranges and reds in another e.g. or mixed stars if you like. So whatever you have available really but am aiming to make it so that it can be used for either boy or girl (bit like the main photo I posted as a guideline).
