Allegedly, this bill, the Enterprise and Regulatory Reform Bill, is being introduced to encourage enterprise. Try telling that professional photographers. But it's not just the pros who are being affected by this bill, everyone who posts their images online is. Nice one, Vince Cable.

Place to stay from January 8th to 15th 2013

regular gonzales posted a new topic:

Hello London people!

I am a photographer from Berlin with a focus on street photography and portraits. This is my website: blind-photographer.com

I'll be in London for non-photo-related business from January 8th to 15th and have no idea where to stay yet. I can imagine to swap my 90 square meter riverside rooftop apartment in Berlin Kreuzberg (Schlesisches Tor) for that period. It features a simple studio with flash guns and backgrounds as well as a large kitchen and high-speed Internet.

If you are interested in a space exchange or have other ideas where I could stay (couch surfing is also an option). Please let me know!

Looking forward to your great city!

esslingerphoto.com says:
I have a question....I was taking picture at Cardinal Place in Victoria and the security told me that the private property went all the way to the street. Is this true, can the whole sidewalk be private property???

They will push you as far as they can.
Whatever the law says, if they feel like it they will make your job impossible with their perpetual whining - without physically 'preventing' you.
Some areas really are un-photographable, like Southwark Crown Court.
Some just laughable, like the Elephant and Castle, whose security guards would grab people off the street for daring to photograph the crumbling wreck.

Thank you for your reply. I will be looking for the gold studs. :) The video was good for a laugh. Not sure I would stay around for that much harassment from security. Should be a law against harassment like that.
Cheers!

Difficult to answer your question. You might have to check it out on a map that the council holds. Sometimes there are gold coloured studs in the pavement that denote the border between private and public land.
