I think the rubber is the problem, I fixed mine with double adhesive tape two month ago, and now it is almost loose again.
I think I will go to Sony repair center for the next fix, my camera is bought from US, I have no warranty here, but I am going to replace it professionally. No, for long term the tape is not a solution!

How did it go? My grip is almost off and I must do something. DOuble sided tape may be the least aggressive way to fix it if it stands up. Does it?

Congrats!
You have a very good lens for a very good price! I envy you!
I've shot with it, it's a fantastic lens, but too high priced, especially in Europe.

The 18-200 is a good lens for travel or in a group because you don't have to stop to change lenses. I would next get the 35mm 1.8 for low light shooting. Both Sony and Tamron make goo 18-200mm lenses.

Thanks Mars and Rob! I got the CZ 24mm F1.8 lens at the end. I went to Japan a few weeks ago, and with the depreciation of yen and the duty free offer, the lens is about 25% off, so I got it right away.

I will check out the zoom lenses and the Sigma lenses next!

Hi Bryan,

it's one of those things, when there're heaps of light and contrast, putting our camera to "P" will be good enough. The CZ24mm performs really well.

Under tricky conditions though, I found AF becomes very hard for street photography. I got myself a few manual lenses, I start feeling good with those more and more!

Six7Leo, this sounds what I want but the assist is still jumping in as I touch the focus ring. Can you remember the sequence of settings that got you there?
