Hi everyone,

I'd like to congratulate our five finalists in our Travel Month Photo Contest.

It wasn't easy for the team to choose because there was a lot of really awesome photos submitted in our group. But there can be only five finalists and after the voting period, there can be only one winner of the Canon Digital EOS 500D camera. :)

In no particular order, here are our five finalists:

Sunset over Singapore by Leone Fabre

Monks and Kittehs! by cteteris

Havana Malecon by Kian Yung

Cute Kid by vintage_rajvind

Asterix by edwardkkb

The photos and the poll is now up at the Yahoo! Singapore Travel Month site (sorry it took a while to get it up). Just head on over to this link to vote for your fave photo: sg.custom.yahoo.com/travelmonth/articledetail/642-642.

The poll will be open until September 15. Let's support these five individuals who shared to us their travel story through the photo they submitted.

And a reminder to everyone, let's be fair when voting. Only one vote per person. If we see what appear to be irregularities in the voting for a particular photograph, we reserve the right to disqualify that photo from the contest.

Thanks for running a fun contest that's well organized. Small suggestion, any chance to give all the 5 finalist a type of consolation prizes?

Reason I asked is that my experience of photo contests that ends in a "voting" type of mechanics tends to favor those contestants with a larger "friend-base".

Suggesting so that there will be more winners! :-) Even though there's only one grand prize winner. Thank you.

Hi everyone,

We have now officially closed the Singapore Travel Month 2011 group. This means we are not accepting new members and submissions of photos to the group anymore.

At this time, we will be choosing 5 photos among the 333 photos submitted by the 48 members of the group. These 5 finalists will be featured at the Yahoo! Singapore Travel Month site (http://sg.custom.yahoo.com/travelmonth/) where anyone can do there and vote for their favorite travel photo.

The photo that gets the most votes wins the Canon Digital EOS 500D camera!

Friendly reminder to everyone! :)

You have until 11:59pm of 14 August 2011 to submit your photos after which the group will be closed to submissions and we will then choose 5 finalists to be feature in Yahoo! Travel Month site ( sg.custom.yahoo.com/travelmonth/ ) where it will go to voting. The image with the most votes wins the grand prize - a Canon Digital EOS 500D camera.

Continue to spread the word about the Yahoo! Singapore Travel Month contest and may the best person with the most awesome travel photo win! :)
