Hi Nick,
Thanks for your feed-back. All images pulled through to our website homepage now include a photographer credit that links through to their/your Flickr account. Our developers sorted this a few months ago so apologies for the slow up-date.

Yep, sounds like a great suggestion Will. As a professional photographer working in Queenstown lakes area I am only too happy to offer the images for promotion when used with the appropriate credit. It would be greatly appreciated if when images are used, a reference to the photographer can be displayed. Let me know if your team find this suggestion reasonable. Thanks Nick

Firstly, we really appreciate you sharing your photography and your comments - and apologies for not getting back to you sooner.
We're a non-profit organisation working for the promotion of Queenstown. We're not after any commercial gain from your shared images. This Flickr group provides a great revolving showcase of stunning imagery of our region. We do pull this through to a tab on our homepage, which clicks back to Flickr. The intention is to show peoples' authentic content. We understand the need for commercial photographers to protect their livelihood. Your photos retain your credit within Flickr, where one has to go to view them properly. Hopefully we are providing another promotional opportunity for photographers - our website gets 60,000 hits a month. Do you have any suggestions that would improve this system from your perspective? I'll ask our developers about pulling photo credits through with each photo from Flickr.

I had a look at the queenstownnz.co.nz site and if you click on the Flickr icon under the "Connect with Queenstown", it shows all the photos from this group with a link to the page on Flickr.

Yes, it bothers me somewhat that the admins of this group are asking me to put my photos in a group with .co in the title, without offering anything other than some exposure. I give my pics free to charities and orgs but if they are using my pics to promote their business and/or make money I would expect at least some guarantee of Attribution. I wonder have the admins read the Creative Commons?
