I've been iPad painting since the first model. No fingerprinting since I use a Nomad Brush and a Nomad Compose. I use my iPad for all of my Cartooning and Illustration work. I published an iPad art book on Lulu called Through The Elm to The Big Apple. I'm new to finger painting. About three months now. It's been exciting, exasperating, and a slow learning curve for me.
The best part about FP is no cleanup but the one thing I have a hard time with is the switching from one brush to another and using layers. I tend to forget what layer I'm on and paint the wrong one. All in all I will become more accustom to the app or apps . Then maybe it will be more of a natural flow.
Like Suzi says "Just keep doing it and Paint On". It's good advise.

Yes, you can take "reclinerart" literally.

Does anyone know of an app to get the pics directly into Flickr from iPat without having to use the computer? (Or maybe I just don't know how.)

I love Fingerpainting! It re-ignited my love of art. Life and fear of having to clean up my artsy mess aftermath (creative tornado) put it on hold until I started painting on my iPhone. Having a full art studio + an inspiring community like flickr in my pocket makes me happy :)
I love Sketchbook the best so far.

Hey I paint with finger and ipad and iphone brushes , adobe ideas, sketchbook ! I have been painting on iphone since Brushes came out ipad later - digitally painting and illustrating for 15 or so years
I live in Australia by the beach ... so lots of landscapes and whatever moves or doesn't gets painted, try to do at least a squiggle a day ! cheers

Hi guys,
My name is Wroderick and I wanted to say hello. I have dedicated to doing my artwork completely on the iPad. Since I have been doing digital art for quite sometime on a PC I fell in love with the iPad not only for the money it saves, but the ease of use where I can take my studio everywhere.

Since I just re-branded my work, I am slowly getting back into re-posting and connecting with other mobile artists for friendships and inspirations. I tend to take turns in all the creative iPad apps and trade off between finger painting and using an old Targus stylus. Hope to have more work up soon. :)

31 Digits

Today I start my first online new media art project - "31 Digits".

It is my first of the series online project introducing iPainting as a progressive form of art made on iPad with a digital finger painting application.

In "31 Digits" I will be using the iPad as a visual diary, creating one image every day throughout the month of May to capture the ambiance of a day. The images will be uploaded online at the end of each day on "31 Digits" group in order to be accessible to the online world, thus creating communication and sharing.

According to inventor and futurist Ray Kurzweil the evolution of biological life and the evolution of technology have followed the same pattern. They both tend to delay developing at the beginning, but progressions accumulate and trigger the eruption of progress at an increasingly furious pace. In the same way, “31 Digits” is born today and starts its development over 31 days. Although little has been revealed so far, follow it on www.flickr.com/groups/31digits/ to explore creative capacity of iPad and to discover something new about “31 Digits” every day.
