There will be seven lovely ladies on hand for over three hours at Blissdom '11 in Nashville on Wednesday January 26. We wanted to gather together some of our "style" of photography and a little bit about our equipment and editing software so you can get an idea of which ladies you'd like to work with and learn from.

Angie Arthur | Photography posted a new topic:

I am a Natural Light photographer who lives in Northeast Ohio and am the co-founder of I Heart Faces, an online photography sharing community.

My photography journey began three years ago when I fell in love with blogging and wanted the photos on my blog to look as wonderful as possible. At that time I owned a Canon Rebel but had never moved the button from auto and enjoyed the camera only because it could take a series of photos quickly. :)

Once my decision was made, I began devouring every online photography and photoshop related tutorial I could find. I began carrying my camera with me wherever I happened to go that day and my kids became very used to hearing a "clicking" sound whenever mom happened to be around.

A year and a half after I first began learning about photography I set up my business Angie Arthur Photography and haven't looked back. It was amazing to have something connect with my heart in such a way that I knew that it was what I was meant to do!

I spent the first year of my business photographing every opportunity that became available to me...this helped me to really narrow in on what types of sessions I loved the most and I now specialize in customized high school senior portraits and lifestyle children and family sessions. I love the way you can pose a senior to capture their best angle and their incredible personality...and yet I also love to capture the natural, simple moments of childhood and family togetherness.

I now shoot with my "big girl" camera, the Canon 5D Mark II and love it! My favorite lenses are the 50mm 1.4 and the 15mm Fisheye 2.8 (the 85mm 1.4 and 35mm 1.4 are way up high on my wish list though!) For an all-around lens, my Tamron 70-200 2.8 lens is wonderful to shoot with. I shoot in Camera RAW and edit my photos first in Adobe Camera RAW and then in Photoshop CS5. I also own Lightroom but am more comfortable with using PS.

I write stories about my four children and host photography-related giveaways at my personal blog: The Arthur Clan

Amy Locurto posted a new topic:

I'm an art director and natural light photographer. I own a design firm, Atomic Egg, and have 20 years of experience as a stylist and designer. So details and setting up a shot are my speciality. Every photo I take is usually set up in some way... I'm constantly moving objects and people. I rarely just snap a photo.

My professional clients for photography are all newborns and babies. I love positioning babies and treating them like props... they are so adorable!!

Along with my design firm, and two blogs, I have an online shop where I sell printable designs and also an Etsy Shop.

I shoot with a Canon Rebel T1i and my favorite lens is the Tamron 17-50mm. I own about 4 other lenses, but use this the most for portraits and product shots.

I love bright and vivid images. I shoot all of my products in natural light, but use a light kit for photos at night or if it's too dark outside.

My online gallery:

Lotus Carroll posted a new topic:

I used to shoot film, but got my first digital camera (a Kodak P&S) in 2004. I was determined to make it work for me. Late 2008, I started shooting with a Canon Powershot G9 (point-and-shoot). My favorite photography question while using a P&S: "What kind of lens are you using?" With enough dedication and practice, you *can* capture amazing photos with a point-and-shoot.

View this set to see photos I've captured with a Point-and-Shoot Camera.

I started using a (borrowed) DSLR (Canon Digital Rebel XT) in early 2010, and confess: I am pretty in love with it. Still using it (still borrowed). [Lenses: Kit 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6, 50mm f/1.8 prime]

View this set to see photos I've captured with a DSLR.

My photographic skill and eye have grown immensely in the past 6+ years, not because I've used better cameras, but because of consistent and abundant practice, attention to detail, constant reinvention and discovery, and maybe just a little bit of obsession.

I shoot/have shot in every way you can imagine: auto, scene settings, AV, TV, and Manual modes. I use Manual most often nowadays, and believe that is the best way to grow and truly develop your photographic skill. I shoot in RAW + JPG. I import using iPhoto, edit using Photoshop Elements.

I shoot everything I see. Capturing life is a big deal to me. I like to shoot people, but my best work is nature and randomness, and I have a special place in my heart where macro photography and bokeh frolic and play. It's my happy place. :)

Mishelle Lane posted a new topic:

I shoot with a Canon 5D Mark II. My lenses are 24-70mmL f/2.8, 50mm f/1.4, and 85mm f/1.8. I started shooting with a Canon Rebel XTi and the kit lens (18-55mm f/3.5-5.6). I still have that camera and lens, as back-up.

I take pictures of everything! And I mean everything. Except roadkill. Because that? Is not right.

I most enjoy high-energy atmosphere when shooting (events such as concerts, parties, etc..,) but I equally enjoy capturing images in the quiet of a forest.

I love being able to tell a story through my images. That is one of the things that I enjoy most about [my] photography.

I shoot in manual (M) mode, but for years I was an aperture value (AV) loyalist. I strive to get the correct exposure with each click, though I still edit, minimally, for tone and temperature. I am passionate about monochromatic images, otherwise I lean toward warming up a picture in post process. I use Lightroom 3.0 and Adobe Photoshop CS5. Within the last 18 months I have stopped using pre-fabricated actions for my images as I believe it takes away from my technique and photography skills.

I only shoot in RAW, and am highly selective about what images I keep for this reason.

I am passionate about composition and realize this changes as I keep clicking!

Dawn Camp posted a new topic:

I shoot with a Nikon D700, usually in RAW + JPG, because of my total disregard for space on my external hard drives. Seriously though, the JPGs are often fine for photos I use on my blog, which is the only place some of them live. If I really want to process, I use the RAW files.

I edit primarily in Lightroom 3, moving in and out of Photoshop CS5 when needed.

I enjoy photographing people, events, concerts, food, and nature, searching for beauty in the mundane.

I shoot with a Canon 40D and shoot in RAW. I primarily use Lightroom 2 to manage workflow, edit and export and I use Photoshop CS4 on occasion for those double chins and big mama zits.
I am a big fan of low aperture, capturing moments as they happen and delicious bokeh.
