Join the David Suzuki Foundation for the 30x30 challenge: 30 minutes a day for 30 days in June. We would like to invite your group to enter the 30×30 Flickr photo contest, by uploading photos from your time in nature each week to the David Suzuki Foundation's Flickr group . Prizes from our friends at Genuine Health will be awarded each week for the best photos. The first two weekly winners (selected on June 7th and June 14th) will have their photos displayed at our upcoming event at Toronto's renowned Art Gallery of Ontario.

I'm living in the interior of British Columbia where there are many wonderful species of birds. I've been birding for 5 or 6 years. There are a few that I would love to capture this year. I would love to capture a Cliff Swallow to finish off my swallow species, a Horned Lark, a Lazuli Bunting and a Great Grey Owl.

Well, for anyone near Kingsville, there is a rare Great grey owl..They are usually from Alaska, the Rockies, Alberta and northern Ontario, and it's the first time it's been recorded that down south, in Ontario.

It's the largest owl in North America, and is argued to be the largest owl in the world, but it is not certain.

Anyway, I'm pretty new to birding too.I'm hoping to see (and photograph) some woodpeckers, owls and more raptors.Not really any species in particular

I live in Michigan, but I've done a lot of birding in Newfoundland and New Brunswick. Getting out to Saskatchewan for some prairie birds in on my wish list, but I'm not sure if that will happen this year.

Three-toed woodpecker is one bird I may have to travel to Canada to get.

So, for any birdwatchers out there, what bird(s) are you hoping to add to your life list this year?

I'm a relative newcomer (3rd year) and there are still some fairly common birds I have not yet seen. So this year I would like to see:
Pileated woodpecker
Snow bunting
Western meadowlark (if I get a chance to travel to Alberta this year)
