my current camera the Nikon D90 is capable of up to 3 multiple exposures onboard as was my D80 and every once in a while i play around with the feature.

Amanda, some new cameras have double and multiple exposures in their menu of special effects. Depends on the model.

As far as I know, the only way to do "double exposures" digitally is to overlay them after shooting using Photoshop or some other photo editing software. Unless maybe some camera manufacturers are embedding software in their cameras to do something like this for you, I'm not sure.
