I needed a replacement for my Tokina 12-24mm that was destroyed in a head on collision along Hwy 1 around two months ago, so that I could get some nice wide angle storm shots as I took my yearly "chasecation". I wound up using the Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 lens, and now that I have tried it, I will be buying one. That's one of my favorite aspects of renting from BorrowLenses, is that you can test drive.

Any lens any camera just make it a 50mm prime lens.

I've rented several things. Among them are a tilt-shift lens, because i wanted to play with it, and the 100mm f/2.8L Canon macro lens so that I could compare it with my trusty Sigma. I found this beast with the 100mm macro:

Why rent?? I can't afford an 800mm lens:

You get lots of attention when you pick up a lens that big at Rayko. And even though the IQ is crappy, it's obscenely fun to stack a couple of teleconverters on a lens that size:
