2010 Gulf of Mexico Oil Spill

If you are on the ground in the Gulf, we want to see what you’re seeing, and where. If you have images of the oil slick, wildlife, cleanup crews, or anything else related to the spill, please submit it here.

You can submit your photos and tag them on the Google map. Here’s how:

1) Log into your Flickr account or create an account.

2) Join our group, Oceana’s Oil Spill Photo Pool

3) Upload your photos to your Flickr account.

4) If your uploaded pictures aren't automatically geotagged by your camera or smartphone, you can manually geotag them on this page: Flickr's Organizr

5) Add the photos to our group pool by clicking "Add something?" on the group page, next to the bright pink Group Pool header.

Offshore drilling will NEVER be safe again. Sign the petition to end offshore drilling now.

Raising Awareness

crosshatchedplan posted a new topic:

Hi,

I think this group is amazing. I found it while searching for gulf oil spill photos. I began this search because I am trying to help show people what is going on in the Gulf. I am the Student Curator at Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin this year and our first exhibition will feature photos of the effects of the Gulf oil spill. Our goal is to create awareness in the Midwest area with our students and the public who have not been directly affected and can easily avoid or ignore the situation when they do not see such images every day. I was wondering if anyone in this group had any interest or knows someone who would like to contribute photos to such an exhibition. I can be contacted via e-mail (j_severson_6@yahoo.com) for anyone who is interested or wants to know more about the exhibition.

Thank You,
