Criteria for accepting new images

Eustace Tierney posted a new topic:

Can you please clarify your criteria for accepting new images to this group. There are some amazing images here yet many that display some very basic errors. Although the content of the image can sometimes excuse minor flaws this is not the case for a number images in this group. Are the accepted images judged solely by the administrator of this group? I feel there is a lot to learn form this group and some of the images are truly inspiring but I wonder are there many images submitted that never get posted but are superior to many that have been accepted.
