I remember a few years back (when Toonami was still cool) I would always watch Robotech. I was rather young at the time, and I figured that there pretty much wasn't anything better than transforming jet fighters. :D

More recently however, I have come to appreciate the original Robotech more and more because of the sheer amount of detail included in the animation. I just think it's too cool that in space, the actually use thrusters to maneuver! And the overall animation and perspective are pretty good too.

Pictorial Review: Destroid Tomahawk

Joriel "Joz" Jimenez posted a new topic:

Great pics the pool. It's always neat to see everyone elses collections.

When photographing collectibles I've decided that it's easier for my Flickr friends to navigate from a single Flickr photopage, to show the relationship of the detail/part against the main product. It's easier to view especially if you have a dozen pictures of the same item. I found that it works effectively when I tried it on a PVC figure earlier this year (see Revy)

Anyway, I've decided to continue in this format, and have done so with the new Yamato 1/60 Destroid Tomahawk.

I hope you like the format.

Gosh I hope not. There's nothing like the original Macross and i'm talking about the western version imo mostly due to the music score. Music can make or break a show ya know? I sure hope that they at least keep the theme music. Spider Maguire - I like that ;)

I really think that Spider Maguire will do a good job with the movie, but I have my suspicions that the movie it focus on the Macross Zero era.

Welcome

EDF-Andromeda posted a new topic:

Welcome to the Robotech group! Post pictures of your mecha or anything related to Macross/Robotech. You have a story to tell? Bust it out!

I grew up in the 80's and one day after school this cartoon suddenly appeared on tv. I was absolutely stunned. Never before had I seen such a program. In my eyes it was the most beatiful thing I've ever seen. At that young age, this cartoon taught me a lot about war, love, hate, fear and especially courage. I would be extremely upset when i'd miss an episode.

In sometimes small and sometimes large ways, Robotech has helped shaped who I am today. Has it for you?
