Swap my orange bag for your brown one

I just bought a 2009 Ute, and love it! The bike came with two large bags - 1 orange and 1 brown. I would love to have a matching pair, and before I go to eBay, I wanted to see if anyone out there wants to do an even swap: my orange bag for your large brown bag.

But without those iconic, car-repelling bags! Is it still a Ute? :-)

What kind of handlebars did you put on?

Per Kona, the orange ones are all sold out and will not be made anymore. You can get the brown ones though thru Kona's website. Here is the link to the US web store:

shop.konaworld.com/products.php?product=Big-UTE-Bag

Hope that helps!

Orange bag sold. Just got my new brown bags too and 1 word comes to mind...WOW! They really overhauled them, in a great way. From the liner throughout, to the velcro sections on the inside, stiff bottom and "taller" sides. Will take pics of them soon. Could not be happier!

frilzz posted a new topic:

Hi all,
First off, thanks for the add. Loving my Ute which has made all of my other bikes begin to collect dust. Loaded a few pics of mine with some of the changes I've made (bars and pedals).

In addiion to selling off bikes in my collection, I'm also selling my big orange bag that came with the Ute. It's never been used. I knew that I wanted the brown bags on the '11 model so I stored this one and pre-ordered the brown ones. Should be arriving sometime in Nov. Anyway, if interested message me. Please don't offer me anything less than what they are worth which you probably already know. They don't make this bag anymore so they are hard if not impossible to find in this condition.

Thanks and look forward to posting more pics of the Ute in action.

Thanks for posting the link nordstadt1978. Well done to Kona for fixing all the things I find annoying about my '07 Ute. I'm jealous of anyone buying a new one!

That front wheel restraint looks simple, I feel a DIY project coming on... :-)

My 2010 Ute comes with an front wheel keeper, a little spring that connects the front wheel with the frame, on the 2011 Ute you can see this:
