Hi ariana, there's a flickr group for tips and tutorials: www.flickr.com/groups/fabricandfibretipsandtutorials/
put 'nuno' in to the search the pool, I think there are a few tips and tutorials. Was it something specific you're having a problem with?

Hi , I just put a picture up of a scarf that I used habotai silk . It took lotsssssssss of rubbing and rolling. I reccommend using cool water until you are just about finished. The results are beautiful!

Interesting the comment above about muslin not working so well, which has been my experience too, partly depends I guess what you are trying to achieve. I guess the muslin is good if you want a denser heavier effect. My personal favorite are all sorts of silks with organza being my favorite of the moment!

alice fox posted a reply:

Wilt u mijn vragen beantwoorden?

hartelijke groet en alvast bedankt !!!!

I'm very sorry for this late response Ginny (slack in following up) but Polly's book is available on wildturkeyfeltmakers.com. There are also a couple of patterns available for purchase. Once you've made the felted yardage you can sew either a vest or coat.

I mainly use silk chiffon as I like the lightness and the way it takes dye but I also use silk, musin, cotton scrim and some synthetics. Synthetics take more time and give less but crinkling but greater texture.
