We would love to use some of your beautiful images in the Journal's Views of North slot, on the paper's letters pages.
We absolutely appreciate why many of you have disabled downloading.
However, I was hoping you might be prepared to email us a single View of the North maybe every month - just one image not multiple please - so that Journal readers can admire your handiwork?
We’d need a large version as it is printed 27cm wide and 20cm high, in jpg format, and landscape in shape.
We will use our favourites.
The address for pictures is pics@ncjmedia.co.uk and the subject of the email should be VIews of the North. Please include your name and where the photograph was taken.
We are not only interested in Northumberland images, but anywhere you can buy a Journal!
If photography is your trade, I have to apologise that this is not a platform where we have a budget for to pay for submissions - more a chance for readers to show off!

I live in Washington and in under an hour can drive to the coast, three major rivers, the hills of Weardale, three cities and Middlesbrough (all different apart from M&S), 3 huge waterfalls, reservoirs and lakes, a multitude of parks and old industrial sites and then there is sport.
Whats not to like?
But when pressed its always Weardale around Stanhope. Always interesting and usually beautiful with something for everyone.

Northumberland is a beautiful county,we have a lot of hidden gems, from the coast line to the countryside,so,for me it depends on the weather conditions,the whole of Northumberland is my stamping ground

Just to clarify, here are some different ways which you can submit pictures to the Journal, other than adding them to this group:

The best way to get things on the View of the North page in The Journal is to send them to Nigel.Dobson@ncjmedia.co.uk.

You can use this link to upload photos and stories via the website: www.journallive.co.uk/north-east-news/send-a-video-pictur...

If the picture relates to a particular piece of news, e.g. you have photographed a lifeboat rescue, you could also send it to jnl.newsdesk@ncjmedia.co.uk

There is another Flickr group which relates to The Journal's Northumberland websites- pictures from them frequently get published on the community pages for those sites and sometimes in online galleries or in the Morpeth and Ashington Extra. www.flickr.com/groups/northumberlandcommunities/. You can also e-mail northumberland@ncjmedia.co.uk.

I had one published in the Journal Culture magazine Feb edition along with about 6 other Flikr members which was great.
Didn't know about it until another member sent me a Flikr mail to let me know...
When I send stuff to say ITV weather or the local paper they usually drop me a quick one liner to let me know if it's being used.....
