Went to the Tonga Room tonight... seemed pretty darn popular. Granted, this was Saturday... but it was also quite busy yesterday, for the buffet...

I agree there should be a chance. Would have to be some combination of people communicating their concerns in written form AND more people coming to the Tonga Room to have a good time.

Well, I always think there is a chance to try to intervene, that is, until the place is a pile of rubble... or replaced entirely by shiny, personality-less condos...

First of all, thanks for inviting me Frank, even though I don't have photos of the Tonga Room, and may end up never seeing it except here on Flickr. Is the demolition a "done deal" or is there somewhere to write in support of the Tonga Room's preservation?
