Your Jackson Pollock by Miltos Manetas and the Stamen group

This is a group to share your Pollock creations, but only those created digitally with the stamen tool mentioned below. This is NOT for any Pollock-esque images,

Go to jacksonpollock.org and after you are satisfied with your creation, make a screenshot (on PC, Print Scrn, then open Paint or your preferred graphics editor, and save as). Modify if you wish and post here.

Jacksonpollock.org is a creation of Miltos Manetas, London based artist, using the freely available tool stamen.com/projects/splatter

How to capture your Personal Pollock from the web screen

NYCandre posted a new topic:

Alright, you did your masterpiece, and you are happy with it. How do you save it then and post it to your stream and to this group?

1- make sure the mouse arrow is out of the screen, when you are ready to make your screen capture.

2- open your favorite graphics editor (I recommend irfanview for PC, or Google's Picasa* for PC and Mac).

3- push the Print Scrn button. This saves your image to a clipbook

4- switch to Picasa (if that's what you used) and edit your picture, save it as jpeg, and post it. If you are using another editor, do a paste (CTRL V)

* If you are installing Picasa, I recommend you tell it NOT to install a desktop search - else you computer will spend a lot of work indexing all your files and worse, report back to Google (!).
