Using Photo Ninja as RAW Editor in Lightroom Workflow

vrkala posted a new topic:

Hi,

I am using Lihgtroom 4. Recently tested Photo Ninja and it works great. I am wondering if anyone know how to use this is as the RAW editor in Lightroom workflow.

Thank you,
Processing in PSE after Lightroom - issue

Spodeworld posted a new topic:

Maybe someone could help me. I did an edit in Lightroom and saved a copy as a jpg. I then sent the image as a .tiff from Lightroom to PSE10. I chose on the export to edit with Lightroom adjustments. I did a small amount of cloning in a very limited area. I did no other edits that I am aware of. When I saved the image, the entire color balance changed. It looks dull and flat. I can't figure out why it looks so different than the image that was exported from Lightroom. On screen they look the same, but saving it in PSE did something to the color.

Here it is saved from LR:

Here's what happens when I send to PSE and save:

I then did an experiment. I selected the base layer in PSE and copied it. I then opened GIMP and did a paste into a layer there. I did the same type of operation, saved it, and the color was fine.

Any thoughts as to what may have gone wrong?

Thanks

Click on the small question mark in the top right of the thumbnail then locate the files on your hard drive and just then click ok, it will give you the option to find nearby files.

I am having a weird problem. Lightroom says that a file is offline or missing, but the file is in my computer. I try to re-import the file, and the pictures come into Lightoom, but there is the haze over the photos, and it won't let me import them. So I copied them, created another file folder under a different name, pasted them into the new folder, then tried to import those, and the same problem - it won't let me import them. It is only doing this with this one file. Anyone know what is going on, or can give me a solution? Thanks.

Most scanning software allows you to choose whether you're scanning a negative or positive and then compensates for that to show you a positive image.
