Wie jedes Jahr am Karfreitag und Karsamstag ist in der Alten Kirche am See in Tutzing das heilige Grab aufgebaut. Der Christus aus Holz stammt aus dem 18. Jahrhundert. Der Schrein ist geschmückt mit Blumen, Kerzen und Glaskugeln. Die Fenster der Kirche sind während der zwei Tage mit schwarzen Vorhängen verhängt.

In Tutzing at Lake Starnberg in Bavaria there is, as every year on Good Friday and Holy Saturday, a holy grave. The wooden statue dates from the 18th century. During these two days the windows of the church are covered by black curtains.

Auf die Nachfrage, woher der Rauch im letzten Bild kommt - hier die Auflösung. Es ist Weihrauch, den ein Ministrant großzügig verteilt.

Here the answer to the question where the smoke in the last picture is coming from. It's the incense, spread generously by an altar boy.

Hier der Kreuzträger des Stephaniritts mit Begleitung auf schön geschmückten Kaltblütern. Der Rauch kommt vom üppig verwendeten Weihrauch.

A man on a beautiful decorated heavy horse is carrying the crucifix during the Stephanus-ride. The smoke is of the massively used incense.

Schön war es beim Stephaniritt in Tutzing. Auf diesem Wagen wird der Heilige Stephanus durch den Ort gefahren.

In compliment to the Holy Stephanus there are traditional processions in southern Germany on the 26th December. On this carriage there is a statue of Stephanus.
