Millicent Opundo, 23. Millicent married the first man she ever had sex with, her husband later died of AIDS and she too is now infected. Millicent sells vegetables and paraffin farming and looks after the 2 children (1 was born infected and died of AIDS) on her own with little support from well-wishers. ÒI would to tell other women to work hard to take care of the kids you have, instead of taking on another person (wife inheritance). AIDS is rampant and people should talk about it openly. Mr. Aloo Amondi. advanced in age and is a widower. He has three sons that he is taking care of. He sells firewood for a living. After his wife died his 3 sons were taken to live with relatives so that he could work. His sons left them and returned to live with their father. They couldnÕt bear the separation and Òlove their father dearly.Ó They live together today. 3/04, Rabuor, Kenya.
