There's a whale skeleton in the university!
It's very nice, my students showed it to me.
I love whales. At the museum of natural history in NYC there's a huge blue whale. I loved it!

This is my skeleton girl, Boneta Scully. She's my first MH custom, and she's still a work in progress.

I've been trying to paint her head, which was white, to match the off-white of her body. It's currently a little too yellow, but it's better than it was to start with. There's some subtle coloring to the body that I can't quite place - is it slightly pink or orange or something? As you can probably tell, I've also added some shading to the body in a few places to make it look a little more real.

I also cut off her nose and then molded a new nasal cavity using epoxy putty. I thought it was silly that she had an actual nose that had just been painted over to look like a cavity.

I'm debating whether or not to add some more stylized teeth along her jawline, like Skelita has.

I'm also still waiting for her wig to arrive in the mail.

The Vortex, at 438 Moreland Avenue, was opened by siblings Michael Benoit, Hank Benoit and Suzanne Benoit on July 21, 1996--five years after they opened their first location in Midtown in 1992. With a 20-foot high , the "Laughing Skull" facade, the Little 5 Points location has become an Atlanta institution. From its inception, The Vortex has been honored with “Best Burger” awards by a multitude of local and national publications. The Vortex has appeared on Man vs. Food, Sunday Night Football, Rachel Ray and several other “top restaurants in the country”-themed shows.
