Another pretty model by Francis.
The modules are very simple to fold, and the locking mechanism is surprisingly strong. Folded from 8 7.5 by 7.5 centimeter squares.

Took the day off to have my knee and then my tooth removal checked. This is the waiting room at the oral surgeon.

The health updates:

2nd opinion a new orthopedist pretty much confirmed the 1st opinion, but with a little more detail. I have moderate arthritis in my left knee. There's no surgery short of knee replacement (which I'm nowhere near ready for) that will improve it any further, so I need to keep strengthening, stop worrying, live my life and take ibuprofen when it hurts.

Oral surgeon said the socket where I had the tooth pulled is healing. I probably did have a bit of dry socket, but since it's better, he decided against packing it (which only addresses the symptoms and would only delay the continued healing.) The end for this one is in sight.

This is what happens when you go to reposition the tripod, and step on a patch of ice disguised as a patch of snow and you wind up going ass over teakettle.

Hilariously, I kind of like the AUGH light trails that resulted when I scrambled to NOT smash my camera and the very expensive lens attached on my way down.

Watching my camera bag sail about 12 feet up in the air in a lobbing arc was a bit of a heart attack moment as well.

Luckily all my gear survived except for my tripod. I have no idea WHERE that wound up. I suspect it may have wound up in the river.

This retaining wall is all that remains of the New York Ontario and Western Railroad depot for Oakland, NY. The Railroad was abandoned in 1957.

This type of traditional buildings were used to store hay for feed the cattle. They are made of rock and wood beams. Sometimes also served as shelter for pregnant sheep and where the shepherd took refuge in winter . In this area are called "Tenadas".

Este tipo de construcciones tradicionales se usaban para almacenar la paja para el ganado. Estan hechas de roca y listones de madera. En ocasiones tambien servian de resguardo para las ovejas preñadas y donde el pastor se refugiaba en tiempos de ventisca. En esta zona reciben el nombre de "tenadas".
