&lt;p&gt;This was the first rattlesnake I saw this year. Which is strange, because I saw him today, and today is september 16th. And I saw him in the forest, and usually they are in the grasslands, or closer to the cliffs. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
So I had to hope off my bike to take a picture. At this point I was not a hundred percent sure it was a rattler. (There are similar looking Gopher Snakes in Kal Park). Upon approaching, the snake showed its disapproval in the form of the rattle. Yup, Rattlesnake.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
