This raven (Corvus corax) found this box of (fast) food in the parking lot. He was very entertaining to watch as he carefully pulled the various pieces from the box.
Here it looks like he is talking to the box/food/Gods/bystanders.....

Orangutan is a native of Malaysia and Indonesia. Their present population is limited to Borneo and Sumatra. These are considered to be the most intelligent among apes, capable of using some tools and preparing elaborate beds to sleep on tree branches.

I just got a tripod and a remote! I'm so excited to start doing more conceptual stuff. Taco was freaked out by the camera being on a tripod and it activating remotely, so we had to do a test shoot (this is one of the photos) to get him used to it. He jumped every time the shutter clicked and then he started barking at it. He just couldn't figure out how the camera was going off without me behind it.

It's really hard to believe that I've only had Taco for like a month and a half... It seems like he has been in my life for SO much longer. He didn't know any tricks when I first found him. He is a quick study though and he figures things out VERY quickly. He learned "sit" in one session. In that first session, his "sit" wasn't reliable with a voice command or a signal, but he followed my hand and, after a few tries, he finally did it and he kept doing it. His "sit" is now very reliable and I can just say it and he'll do it. He also sits at all street corners and waits until I say "okay, let's go" to get up and start walking. We're working on a hand signal for "sit." "Sit up" is his second best trick! "Spin right" and "spin left" are his next best tricks.

He wasn't potty-trained when I first found him either. I was taking him out frequently when I first found him, so I wasn't sure if he was potty-trained or not. After I had him for a week, I didn't take him out as frequently, so he peed on my wall and tried to poop on my carpet. Both of those things only happened once. I reprimanded him for the peeing incident (he was marking the wall and not just relieving himself) and it has never happened again. I didn't reprimand him for pooping. I just scooped him up and put him outside, then I praised him more than I've ever praised him after he finished up outside. He now gets super happy after he poops and looks for praise every time he does it outside. It's very cute! He stands and paces by the door when he has to go out now. He is OFFICIALLY potty-trained! WAHOO!

This is a 90 years old resident of one of the houses in the Begijnhof in the Dutch city of Breda. I met her by chance and she struck me with her, given her age, colorful clothes and hat. I was allowed to take this portrait of her in front of her own home.
Walking is now not so easy for her. She spends her free time with reading philosophical books and making beautiful paintings. She has no internet, so I printed the pictures to deliver them soon to her.
And in the meantime I delivered the photos to her, she was very happy.

Dit is een 90-jarige bewoonster van één van de woningen in het Begijnhof te Breda. Ik kwam haar toevallig tegen en ze viel mij op door haar, gelet op haar leeftijd, kleurrijke kleding en hoed. Ik mocht dit portret van haar maken voor haar eigen woning.
Lopen gaat ondertussen niet meer zo gemakkelijk voor haar. Haar vrije tijd brengt ze door met het lezen van filosofische boeken en het maken van schilderijen. Ze heeft geen internet en daarom heb ik de gemaakte foto's geprint om haar die binnenkort te bezorgen.
En inmiddels heb ik die belofte ingelost, ze was er heel blij mee.

We la-la-love Dolly's Foundation! They have a spay/neuter program called Snip-a-Pit. The program helps out low income families in the Central Florida area by spaying/neutering their pets. Dolly's Foundation does a lot of great stuff for the community, but they can't do it without donations. Snip-a-Pit is 100% donation funded.
