I saw Ronny walking in the park and I thought he had an interesting look. I approached him and described the project and asked if I could take his portrait. He agreed. Ronny is a photographer as well, he shot’s with a 5DMIII. We discussed photography for a bit and I gave Ronny my card and offered to send him a cop of the picture. That same day, I got an email from Ronny requesting a copy of the photograph. I emailed him a copy. Thanks Ronny.

I'm sorry about all of the self portraits this week.

I haven't been able to hit the streets and get all 'papparazzi' on strangers.

My 'system' needed some tweaking so I've been 'popping' myself.

It's the same thing I do to people on the street... I just stick the old D300 in my own face.

I've actually learned a lot by doing it... I understand it more.

I've also learned that I have dry skin and should probably use moisturizer.

Why do the pores on my skin get bigger as I get older? Are they reaching for something?

I have hair growing in my ears like my grandfather did.

My eyebrows have started to live a life of their own and no matter what I do there is always a wild hair sticking out of them... actually quite a few.

Do I just accept this or do I try to control it?

I need to trim my nose hairs.

Where did the kids put those little scissors that I use to trim my gotee?

I like the color of my eyes... I've seen so much with them.

Why are my glasses always dirty?

Where did those lines on my face come from?

Are those wrinkles around my eyes?

I have strong and expressive nostrils.

I can't believe all of the grey hairs... that must be just a weird effect from the light I think.

All my life old ladies have just grabbed my cheeks and made sweet comments about them... like they can't resist... now I see why.

I got some chubby cheeks.

The best thing I've learned is that I'm smiling a lot more.

My heart is overflowing with love.

At a certain point in the evening, the sparklers were opened and lit. Tony decided to put it in his mouth as I took the picture. I turned off the flash and lowered the shutter speed to capture this appropriately. I even got some J.J. Abrams action going on with the lens flare (I think because of the UV filter I had on the lens). In post, I lowered the highlights almost all of the way so that we could see the individual sparks instead of a mass glow.
