Taken with my iPhone 5 during a hike at Silver Falls State Park. One of the reasons I purchased an iPhone was so I didn’t need to carry any large cameras or gear during my hikes. Just a smart phone. I understand that cell phone camera technology hasn’t quite caught-up to DSLR quality (Yet!) but I figured I already have plenty of photos of this park that were shot with my DSLR. It’s just nice to enjoy an equipment-free walk on the trail. =)

This shot was taken from the front yard of my grandparents house in Lloydminster, Alberta last month when we traveled up there for my Grandpa's 80th birthday.

There had been intense atmospherics and switching between brilliant sun to crazy rain all day long, so there was an especially intense sunset this particular night.

Here you can the willow tree that stands on their lawn as well as other trees in the neighborhood creating lovely natural framing for this gorgeous sunset.

Down on Nome Creek there was still a lot of snow remaining on the river and in the trees, despite two stretches of 80° F and higher temperatures recently. I thought it made a cool contrast with the new foliage.

Dense deciduous forest within Tryon-Weber Woods, a Western Pennsylvania Conservancy preserve in Crawford County.

The 84-acre preserve includes a small section of old-growth sugar maple–American beech forest in a stream valley.

There used to be two houses in my neighborhood where these amazing Japanese Irises grew, but the owners of one moved out and have been replaced by new tenants, so now there is only one garden in my neighborhood where they are too be found!

Luckily it is only half a block from my house so I will have no problem checking the progress of these amazing flowers!

I LOVE Irises and these amazing Japanese Irises are particularly beautiful, with their beautiful purple petals and their tiger striped interior!

These are still fairly small and will need a few more days before getting to their full, impressive sizes, but I wanted to share them with you guys anyway!
