Sometime late in the day Monday June 17 new brown awnings were installed over the windows at the Southaven Chick-fil-A remodel, only to be covered the very next day for what looks like some sort of "treatment" to the bricks that's soon to occur. Maybe it'll just be a pressure washing, I shudder to think otherwise! The new awnings are quite nice-looking, I saw them on my way to work early Tuesday morning. I attempted to get a picture then but it didn't turn out.

The brown downspout in the photo is the same color of brown the new awnings are: a nice, elegant look for Chick-fil-A, but a little touch of red trim work needs to be happening at some point!

Yes, the bricks do indeed look quite different on the addition, as seen here. But they are apparently about to do something to take care of all that, judging by the fact that everything around the bricks has been covered up to avoid overspary. Overspray from paint, or some other treatment? I have a feeling we'll know the answer to this very soon if the clear weather holds out.

The view from the Fazzoli's lot has gotten a bit less cluttered thankfully. Here's a good view of everything masked-off for whatever dastardly thing may be about to happen to the bricks! If they paint all the brickwork brown it'll just be brown overload! I didn't take any pictures of the back this time, but I hate to say that new logo they put on is still crooked!

So, I kept seeing KFC advertisements while in Hong Kong featuring their XO Sauce roast chicken. Being a sucker for unique fast food products, I stopped in on this afternoon for two pieces of it.

It was okay, which was all I expected.

I drove by the Southaven Chick-fil-A remodel on the way home from a redbox return Saturday night and counted on getting stopped by the traffic light. Sure enough, I was second in line when it changed to red! The Fazzoli's lot still looked really full or I would of gotten a pic from that side as well.

The view from back in Goodman Rd. traffic, showing this Chick-fil-A's exterior nearing completion. I sat through two cycles of the traffic light and luckily it turned red on the second cycle and I was only the 2nd or 3rd vehicle back. The Penske rental truck has been in the lot the past view days: maybe it has some of the new exterior decor in it!

As the light at Goodman turned green, I was somehow lucky enough to get a clear shot of the front of the Chick-fil-A. The poles all appear bent in this photo: it must be due to taking the shot through a closed window.
