Another overcast day but 66 001 stands out in its new paintwork. This is the Esso Fawley to Eastleigh east yard 6B94 loaded oil tanks crossing the causeway from Totton.

Door de ontsporing van overigens ook een DBS-treintje in Wetteren aan lijn 53 met wat giftoestanden in de nasleep, werd een en ander omgeleid via de lijn 59.

Daaronder ook trein 47525 van het Duitse Wesel naar het Nederlandse Terneuzen. De trein is beladen met tunnelonderdelen, welke gebruikt gaan worden bij de nieuwe tunnel onder het kanaal van Gent naar Terneuzen.

Deze dag zou een voorlopig laatste tunnelonderdelentrein rijden. De boor moet nu eerst verplaatst worden naar de tweede tunnelbuis, alvorens men weer nieuwe onderdelen nodig heeft.

One of the targets for this weeks holiday was a shot of the Powderhall to Oxwellmains Binliner, which runs daily during the week on the relatively short trip. Ideally I wanted to secure a shot on the old Granton Dock branch (which only runs as far as Powderhall now), but the logistics didn't work out. So here it is, in pretty drab conditions, and with the wagons well graffitied, passing Dunbar in the charge of 67004, Monday 20.5.13

Electro-Motive Diesel Inc. Type JT42CWR Class 66 diesel electric locomotive 66704 'Colchester Power Signalbox' powers past New Hall northbound on the Great Eastern Main Line near Chelmsford (UK) with a GBRf 4L18 Manchester Trafford Park- Felixstowe liner.

Terrible light and not my usual camera hence terrible photograph! I seem to be jinxed with this loco!
