A few people mentioned socks on last weeks HFF - Glove2 Edition shot and I knew that in the archives I had a sock fence* (don't we all!). I had intended on taking a bike ride out one evening this week and getting an updated shot, but the weather and time have been against me. Instead, here is the aforementioned archived sock fence shot.

This is actually at a Pub/Restaurant in the middle of nowhere called The Missing Sock.

Hope you all have a good weekend (a long one here in the UK) and HFF!

Be amazed and see a sock closeup.

* As far as I'm concerned this is a fence.

This is my second visit in two weeks to the Isabella Plantation in Richmond Park. This is a local beauty spot that is renown for the amazing floral displays of rhododendrons, azaleas and camellias in the Spring. The display normally peaks in mid May but this year it is quite a bit later.

I have been visiting to get the perfect picture for another of my local greeting card range. Today the flowers were beautiful but... they need about another 5 days or so for all to open. There are still green patches amongst the display! So I will be going again next week and keeping my fingers crossed that the high winds we are forecast for tomorrow do not ruin this stunning display.

As an aside, this is a wildlife haven, during our visit we saw squirrels, ducklings, an adult fox and a greater spotted woodpecker to name but a few. At one stage it felt like we were in Doctor Doolittle film!!
