The major update to Flickr motivated me to upload a new photo, my first in 2 months. So far I like the new and improved page layout, though not having sets on the front page is a bit of a loss, and there should also be an option for a white background. Still, the full page photo layout and endless photostream scrolling work well, and should increase viewing and exploring.

Photograph taken at 10:59am on a bitterly cold and sleeting morning, Sunday 10th March 2013 at an altitude in excess of Four hundred and five metres, off the A4086 at Pen-y-Pass and the beginning of the PYG track to Mount Snowdon, looking down the valley towards Llyn Peris, a lake in Snowdonia national Park, North Wales, approximately 1.8 km long and situated close to the villages of Llanberis and Nant Peris.

Slow moving suburban area outside central Copenhagen

I've actually been considering selling the x-pro for a while. I think I just got angry with it for not providing the same excitement as film. I might just be overreacting, naturally it's silly not to have any digital camera. Right?

What bothers me the mmmost is actually the manual focus. The 35mm works fine with auto focus in sunlight, but I would like to take quick snaps in lowlight situations, if I'm with friends etc. I am thinking about buying the Voigtlander 21mm f/4 color skopar for this. We'll see.

This fox family living in suburban Virginia is well adapted to human presence and activity. This image shows the mother and one of her kits relaxing on a sidehill in the yard outside of their den. They are intently watching a couple walking their dog on the sidewalk just 50 feet away. Most folks pass by without ever knowing how close they've been to "The Fox Zone". Mom has her back foot poised in the air, because she stopped in mid-scratch to watch. Red fox (Vulpes vulpes).

Photograph taken at 10:46am on Saturday 9th March 2013 off the A5 and A4086 at Llynnau Mymbyr (also known as the Capel Curig lakes), are two lakes located in Dyffryn Mymbyr, a valley running from the village of Capel Curig to the Pen-y-Gwryd hotel in Snowdonia, north-west Wales.

This is actually a single lake originally called Llyn Mymbyr, with a maximum depth of 30 feet and three quarters of a mile in length with a delta that has built up midway along the north shore, hence the plural name. The river feeding the lakes is the Nantygwryd (or Nant-y-gwryd), which has its source at Llyn Cwm-y-ffynnon, also marked on maps as the Nant Gwryd, which is a tributary of the Afon Llugwy. The two rivers join at Capel Curig.
