Ilfostop at 1:19, Rapid fixer at 1:4 for 10 minutes, Ilford Washaid in rinse

Scanned in two halves and stitched with MS Image Composition Editor

An interesting bit of timing at Teignmouth Station was the passing of First Great Western's Class 158 158763 on an Exmouth to Paignton service and EWS liveried Class 66 66176, seen heading north with a rake of clay wagons from Burngullow to Westbury.

A dilapidated old pickup provides the perfect opportunity to put my new Rokinon 14mm lens to the test as well as try a new approach to HDR merging...

THe Rokinon is a winner, no doubt...sharp and wide, plus f2.8, I hardly even notice the manual focus and manual aperture adjustments...I do that anyway!

Merge to 32-bit HDR provided a tiff file with all of the data from 5 RAW exposures. When adjusted in Camera RAW, a few tweaks of the sliders to open shadows and bring down highlights was all I needed to obtain a great base image for additional post-processing work. This one is waaaaaaay overcooked intentionally, and totally appropriate for the subject...
