Grey Crowned Cranes fly through the sky with the edges of the Ngorongoro caldera barely visible through the clouds. These birds have an elaborate courting display which I did not have the privilege of seeing. Unlike many birds they don't migrate. They stomp their large feet on the ground to flush insects out of hiding, which are rapidly devoured as they scurry to escape.
