I was nursing a pretty bad hangover and Alex called me up to go to the beach. She bought me and Katie an ice cream and I was immediately ridiculed for my choice of a scoop of biscotti with lemon sauce. It was delicious, so they clearly know nothing.

It was nice to return back to Scarborough and walk along the beach. We managed to walk with little disruption from tourists, which was actually really great.

I headed to York to visit Steven and Alice. I hadn’t seen them in about 10 weeks and it was a long over due visit. Steven had to work, which gave me a little time with Alice and I finally got around to playing a game of Ticket To Ride with her which she had been asking me to play since around Christmas, I think. I’m not one for boardgames but it was surprisingly fun.
Steven returned home, and we made our way through some bottles of wine and listened to records into the wee hours of the morning. I have honestly missed doing that so much.

We didn’t get any of our Acacia material done, which I suspect is partially down to feeling hungover and not having much time before I left in the afternoon. So we made do with watching Ali G interview religious people, and a whole bunch of Radiohead and Ricky Gervais stuff. Again, I’ve missed this.

Here I am, hungover, eating a single sausage. My only ‘meal’ until I got home some 8 hours later. 8 hours isn’t that long? No, it’s not, but it is when the bus is over crowded, no windows for air, and the only control the driver is aware of is ‘full heat’ on a hot day.

I’m sure you’re familiar with the Woolwich story by now, so I won’t fully go in to it here. Though I was on my way to my new home in the south after visiting my parents and friends for a few days up north when this all kicked off. While I was traveling back down, I was unaware of what was going on due to not having connection with my phone as I am currently refusing to pay my phone bill. A decision which will of course bite me in the arse. Once I got home, and connected to wifi, Facebook had blown up because of it and not in a rational way. I never knew I was “friends” with so many bigoted, idiotic, racist people. I swiftly voiced my opinion on a few and I’ve had a pretty positive response to some of my posts, waking up this morning with actual praise in my inbox, and I find it strange that that itself feels weird.

Anyway, enough of that for today. I am absolutely sick to my stomach of seeing it and how people are reacting to it. I checked my memory card from my trip and went back to a more peaceful time. Here is Pebble. Yorkshires liveliest dog.

Over-processed, certainly. But I like it anyways!
This is 2 pics of me, one eyes left tongue left, the other eyes right tongue right, pretty much split right down the middle... Then I did some stuff in Photoshop, GIMP (yep, both!), Lightroom & Topaz. Phew!
