Well, I decided to see what I had in my stash for statues and what not so that I could add another to the Sculptural Treatment Challenge and here is what I came up with. Now to decide which ones to enter. The last time I was there was in 1994, very cool.

A wonderful feat was engineered in the creation of this monument.

I received an Honour Award for this entry into CAPA's Digital Competition 'Well Aged' in September 2010
Every year this theme is different.
2011 will be 'Shadow and Silhouette' ... have to drum up something good for that one!

Mountain View Conservation and Breeding Centre is a Society dedicated to the health and well being of animals from all over the world.
Endangered species from around the world live here. Here are just a few.
Gerome is in the barn at this point because it was still too chilly outside back in March when I shot this photo. I plan to go back there when the weather is warmer in order to photograph these amazing creatures while roaming the grounds. Gerome is 17 feet tall. Oh and there is a Momma and a baby too! As a child my favourite TV show was The Friendly Giant ... so on this trip to the centre I was busily looking for Rusty the Rooster ... but alas ... not there, =0{ I'm dating myself with that one but he was on TV for eons it seemed. I think that is where my love of miniature things came into play.

Remember when Boss Bob and I played with this? Well I've been working on it a tad more and hope I managed to finally 'get it' ...
This is my HDRish rendition of the Pt. Wilson Light in Port Townsend on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State.
Hey Bob... I know I haven't got it yet but I'm trying. Still have to hook up with you for a further lesson. Love ya!! I'm going to go add this to the comment section of the original work in my stream.
I've also decide to enter this for evaluation at the club on Wed night too ... we'll see how I do.
Okay, okay ... by looks of what you're all telling me is that I Got It so ... thank you for your kindness and wonderful comments. I really appreciate the feedback.
I know however that if I had not had the original files that Bob and I worked on saved ... this would not have turned out the way we see it now. I want to learn on other photos as well. Thanks again Bob.
I was telling Bob that because I've got a predominantly green sky and the roof is red ... I should hang some Christmas lights on it and call it a Christmas card ... hey, anything is possible with Photoshop, ...=0P Wouldn't that look cool?

There, I've added the Christmas lights as I hoped to do. =0P But it is at the end of the comments. Wish I could have added it underneath this shot.

I shot this last year while out for a drive trying to get the fall colour in before it was gone. This particular scene is on Telegraph Trail in Langley BC ... so peaceful and I remember the air smelled wonderful full of Fall scents, a bit of a chill, burning leaves, fresh.

I've used this stained glass alter window in other work but this time I submitted this for evaluation at my camera club last week and got high marks so I was pleased with this outcome in general. We were on the theme of Churches for this one.

Crescent Beach at days end.
Looks like the purpose here was to give me a great composition! Plus I got some much needed me time to shake the cobwebs out of my brain.
A little HDR technique but still from a single file.
I took a friend down to the beach for Fish n Chips on Sept 25th and was treated to a delightful sunset. I got some really nice stuff ... of course it is always my intention to photograph the beach and sundown when there. I checked out a different part of the beach this time. Plan on going to the north end again when I can take my grands down there to photograph them. Although the tide was in, this part of the beach has much more sand than rock, great for frolicking kids.

Coming Home

It was a lovely day for a ride in a Kayak and I'm glad I was on the shore to capture a husband and wife coming ashore. The weather was spectacular. It was a perfectly warm day for boating of any kind. They had a good workout which made for a good tired.
Using some of my learned HDR philosophy on these.

Mountain View Conservation and Breeding Centre is a Society dedicated to the health and well being of animals from all over the world with the purpose of breeding them back to numbers that will sustain their breed to be released back into the wild.
The centre is the only one of it's kind in North America and I am happy to say it lives only about 5 miles north of me. It is not a zoo but they have tours run by volunteers to pull you by tractor through the grounds and educate you along the way. I will add more as I have processed the images.

This little place has changed faces so many times I truly don't know what it used to be. I will have to find out again because I cannot remember. It's just nice to have it preserved in such a way to give some quaint appeal to this corner in Milner (Langley, BC) at the corner of 216th Street and Glover Road ... See what's on top of the corner? Yep, that's where the Weather-Vane sits, also unique. The little race car is a fun addition too. Happy Sunday all.

I adore this lighthouse at Oceanside Oregon. It is the Cape Meares Light ... will get the info later. Haven't been there in years. This I thought was perfect for the dictionary pool.

This composition is comprised of a stained glass window in an antique store with one of the concrete faces from the walls of the Jefferson County Courthouse in Port Townsend.
