Golden Gate Bridge

Early January, following several days of severe weather and there are about fifty brave souls surfing in the tumultous waters beneath the Golden Gate Bridge.

This is one of the first shots taken with my new 24-70 L series lens. Love it. I'm officially addicted to L glass.

Every year for halloween, Tom, who lives across the street from my parents, does an awesome haunted house. Every year it draws more and more people. This year I would estimate that at least 500 people came, perhaps more.

This is a 3 exposure HDR shot, each exposure was a long exposure. You can see on the left that there are some small crowds of people still milling about. This was taken near the end of the night because the shots taken earlier in the evening were just completely filled with people.

I didn't like the first version of the Sky Room, so I did it over. This time I used a more appropriate panorama from my backyard at night for the sky. I think it matches better.

This is a full 360x180 degree equirectangular panorama of my livingroom, composited with a 360x180 panorama taken in my backyard at night.

Strobist info: Two 150ws studio flashes positioned in the adjacent room. One with a softbox pointed towards the sliding glass door near the center of the image. The second one was positioned pointing towards the ceiling in the hallway.

Caught some pretty sweet cloud formations at Schollenberger park the other day. They were moving along at a pretty fast clip too, so every few minutes it was like a whole new scene.

Took a shot at carving my pumpkin with some clay carving tools this year. Took me about 2 hours, but it was fun and the result was decent.
