To the east of Woolton Hill village in West Berkshire is an nature reserve known as ‘The Chase’ which is owned and managed by the National Trust. 2010 and 2011 saw the Rejuvenation project at The Chase which aimed to increase biodiversity and improve public access with the view to returning it back into a nature reserve and to remove parts of the woodlands for successful woodland management.

Taken on a (surprisingly bright!) September evening out on a dog walk and processed in Photomatix.

(Other beers are available)

I've been trying to take and post some photos that are more unusual than those I normally capture. This shot is unedited from the in-camera image.

This was the inside of the fridge on New Year's Eve 2011. Needless to say the fridge was considerably more empty come 2012!

All feedback very welcome.

Binary Conversation, depicts two monumental heads turned towards one another. It was unveiled in 2012 in Newbury, Berkshire as part of the Willlow Close housing development and was produced by Joseph Hillier.

One of the heads is formed from hundreds of circular rings, the other from hundreds of round particles – creating the impression that they have been pixelated.

The lake at Stourhead is artificially created. Following a path around the lake is meant to evoke a journey similar to that of Aeneas’s descent in to the underworld. In addition to Greek mythology, the layout is evocative of the “genius of the place,” a concept made famous by Alexander Pope. Buildings and monuments are erected in remembrance of family and local history.
