The Circle Garden

I enjoyed this late September walk through the Circle Garden. I used a polarizing filter which removed a lot of the glossy sky reflections from the plant leaves, making them appear deeper green, perhaps slightly warmer color with less reflected blue from the sky. In this shot, I was fooling around with a linear polarizer. As I rotated the filter, it did a nice job attenuating the sky light reflected off the shiny grass blades, producing a richer green tone in the lawn. Although, with or without a filter, it was such a beautiful day that it was hard to go wrong taking pictures with that deep blue sky. Chicago Botanic Garden Sep 18, 2012 L1060208.dng
