We went skiing at Winter Park on New Year's Day - DAMN it was cold! -13F at the base of the mountain!

Nikon SB-24 with CTO gel and ~12 inch aluminum foil snoot handheld about a foot to upper camera left. Tungsten WB to emphasize the purple (blue) petals. Shot at ~9pm.

Slight cropping and sharpening, but otherwise exactly as captured.

Saw this last night at a small pizza joint in downtown Denver called Two-Fisted Mario's. I'd eaten there before (great pizza!) but had forgotten they had these.

Skiing on New Year's Day 2008 at Winter Park, Colorado. Frikkin' freezing (-13F at the base!) but we braved the cold for one run and took the goggles off just long enough to document our insanity. :)

The Teton Mountain Range at sunrise, as seen across Schwabacher's Pond. Unfortunately, the clouds were better the morning before, when we were cruising the Hayden Valley in Yellowstone for wildlife.

I had the opportunity to attend tonight's (5/12/07) baseball game between the Colorado Rockies and the San Francisco Giants. This naturally presented a great opportunity to use my telephoto lens, and I got this shot of the most hated man in baseball, Barry Bonds. He's also one of the best and most feared pure hitters in the game, but this is sadly overshadowed by his use of steroids.

The extreme black & white rendering symbolizes his polarizing effect on baseball fans - they either love him or hate him, but everyone has an opinion. Also added some "grunge" to symbolize his tarnished reputation.
