Young Blackbird

Although she has been in the garden for a couple of weeks now, this is the first decent shot I have managed to get of her. I think it is female.
She is the first young this year of my garden blackbird female that I helped out last year when she was on her own raising the young. This year there is a male and he is doing his bit with the feeding. I think they may still have one in the nest as they aren't about too much. The male escorts this youngster into the garden each morning and it then stays all day feeding, often from me. Also learning what is food and what is not, great to watch.
Taken in very dull and overcast weather, so please excuse the noise.
Forgot to say that it is taken through glass, again!!!

Because of comment(s) which I understand and are valid : I have not used Photoshop or any manipulation, this is a straight shot with a small crop to what I was after. After all its not how our minds eye see’s a horse!

Yes, another old shot! I was laying in the icy snow, just a matter of feet away, camera in one hand and suet pellets in the other. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Processed in Lightroom from RAW capture and uploaded.
Minor crop due to horizon levelling, otherwise full frame.

An old shot I found, from some time ago. I need to try out Lightroom as another means of adjustment and publishing to flickr as I only normally use Aperture. Otherwise its expensive software just sitting on the computer!!!!! I have had it for ages.

Taken near the 300 end of the lens, which in micro 4/3rd terms is a 600mm lens.
This is full frame, there is no way I wanted to get any closer!!!!

I thought I would risk going out into the "Shack" in the garden. It was freezing cold with a biting east wind. The birds had been around feeding earlier on. Well, hardly anything was there in the 2 hours I spent. Except the brave Blue Tit and the industrious Dunnock. This was about the best I could manage!!!
