A very young red eared slider seemed to want attention - probably to be fed. If it had been a pet it certainly didn't want to be caught and taken home.

The past weekend was bright and sunny so it was a good day to be outdoors. We were warm up until late last night and this morning is delightfully chilly. Nice to have winter revisit.

I can usually identify a bird, a bug, a snake, a lizard, and even any year automobile but when it comes to flowers I haven't a clue. So if I were asked what this is I'd probably respond - beat's me.

UPDATED 4/10/11 - It's a white-topped pitcher plant, Sarracenia leucophylla

I'm fairly sure it watched where the bulb plants were being put in the ground. It certainly knew where to dig them up and eat them.

Shot in CR2 format - converted to TIFF then opened and saved to JPG to reduce the size
