The plan was to have the pharmacist pose with Nurse Blythe. Sadly, he would have no part of it. His Assistant was very enthusiastic about it though, and made it fun.

This lady was a total sweetheart about the photo. Too bad the challenge stated it had to be a MAN in uniform. I really need to pay attention to the rules.

Blythe Physical Challenge #5 - Blythe gets out of town.

After her days of hard work as a nurse, educating on the dangers of smoking, the importance of wearing your seatbelt and the benefits of healthy food, Blythe felt the need to get out of town. She decided that a train ride was just the ticket. ;P

Blythe jumped on the Little River Railroad for a relaxing trip through the small towns of Southeast Michigan. She took no luggage or money and relied on the kindness of strangers to take care of her.

Behind the scenes - What I thought would be a photo of Blythe posed on a parked and empty caboose ended up being much more fun! The train was actually running this weekend and it was quite an event due to Father's Day. The Engineer and his crew people were very friendly. I had one gentleman offer to take a picture of me with my doll. The passenger on train that I asked to hold my doll first said, "Are you serious?" Then she said, "Sure. But, this isn't going to be on facebook, is it?"

May I come in?

Blythe Physical Challenge #4

1. Napa Auto, 2. CITGO, 3. Village Foods

Yesterday, I set out on foot with blythe in hand and camera in bag. I was determined to get my MAN in uniform photo. I had such a good response at the first place, that I was hooked and decided to keep going. I ended up getting three photos. One at Napa Auto, another at the CITGO station and the last at Village Foods. Everyone was really nice, all three places asked questions about blythe, and all three requested that I bring back a copy of the photo. I could not pick just one for the challenge, so I’ve merged them into one.

At Napa and CITGO, I offered to sit blythe on a counter so they didn’t have to hold her, but each guy wanted to hold her for the photo. I have to say that when I was handing her off to the mechanic, who had just been working on a greasy engine, I wondered how many black fingerprints she would have when he handed her back, but he didn’t get her dirty at all. XD

At Village Foods, I originally went to the meat department thinking a great photo would be with the meat cutter in his long white jacket and apron. But, one guy was super busy and the other really did not want to do it. I turned around and I saw a guy stocking product and he started waving his arms around wildly. He was really enthusiastic about the photo. Plus, we talked about tattoos. He was super nice. So, with that, I decided to end on a high note, and blythe and I made the trek back home.

Nurse Blythe is surely visiting the shell station to lecture on the hazards of smoking. ;P

I need to pay better attention to the challenge rules. It stated MEN in uniform and these are clearly women. Drat! Nurse Blythe will have to go out on the road again. XD

I got great reactions for this challenge. The younger girl didn't hesitate to agree to the picture. The other lady wasn't too sure, but she was a good sport in the end. I think it's cute that in the photo she seems to be giving the blythe side glance.

The funniest reaction was from a customer who laughed and laughed (not in a mean way). As I left, he said, "This sure doesn't happen every day." and was still laughing.

When this was happening, everyone was "awww'ing" and saying "look, they're kissing". Not! When I inspected the photos up close, you could see the zebra snarling. ;P
