Golden Gate Bridge in HDR

I received a lot of interest (310,000+ views) over this photo flickr.com/photos/vgm8383/2176897085/. Unfortunately there was a tremendous amount of noise and artifacts from the HDR processing. I have tried a different method to reduce the noise and this is what I ended up with -- which, while far, far from good, is an improvement over the first picture which sparked so much discussion.

For those wondering, this photo was generated with 3 exposures (bracketed +/-2), ISO 100, 44mm and processed in Photomatix. The original, non-HDR version is here: flickr.com/photos/vgm8383/2371865686/
