This is the "White Tower", the landmark and city symbol of Thessaloniki, the capital of the Greek region of Macedonia and second largest city of Greece.

Seagulls

Black-headed Gulls (Larus ridibundus) flying over the waters of the Thermaic Gulf, at Thessaloniki (you can see the city's landmark, the White Tower, at the right of the top gull). The photo was taken in the winter (3 years ago), so the birds' heads aren't really black, they have just dark vertical streaks behind their eyes.

Processed in the GIMP: cropped, enhanced the contrast, converted to B&W (the colors sucked anyway) and finally applied the "Softglow" filter.
