Cross-stitch Shop closing

ohioholly posted a photo:

It's the end of an era. My step-mother is closing her needlepoint/cross-stitch shop after 38 years in business! Another sign of the hard economic times, I guess. People just aren't doing (well, at least buying) needlework like they used to. So everything is being sold off, including all the finished and framed pieces on the walls, the 12 finished shepherd's stockings, the cabinets, the drawers, etc. I look at all the tiny boxes of mill hill beads and pearl cotton hanging on the wall, and think that there is a LOT of stuff here still. And I still can't quite believe that it is all ending. ~sigh~
